Hot New Research Results:
The findings of three major new public relations research projects will be unveiled for the first time at the Second Annual Summit on the Future of Measurement, to be held in Durham, New Hampshire on September 21-24, 2004. Summit attendees will be the first to see the new findings.

  • Results of the first ever global survey of measurement practices sponsored by the IPR, IPRA, and The Measurement Standard and conducted by Benchpoint will be discussed during the International Perspectives session. The survey, which was sent to thousands of PR practitioners around the world, reveals current measurement practices in Europe, Latin America, and the U.S.
  • A recent survey conducted on behalf of CyberAlert will provide new insight into attitudes and preferences regarding measurement practices among US practitioners.
  • Finally, Dr. Don Stacks will be presenting his preliminary findings on PR's credibility factor vs. that of Advertising. For years people have claimed that PR results should be given some sort of a multiplier effect because PR is more credible than advertising. Dr. Stacks and his colleague David Michaelson set out to prove or disprove that theory once and for all. Come to the Summit and hear first hand what they found out.

Hot New Dashboard Application:
KDPaine & Partners' new Do-It-Yourself Dashboard application will be previewed for the first time on September 22, 2004, exclusively for Summit attendees. The formal launch isn't until October, but we wanted to give attendees a sense of what the future might bring, as well as get feedback from attendees on the product itself.

The DIY Dashboard is a Web-based application that allows users to create their own completely customized dashboards based on their specific corporate objectives. Regardless of what measures of success are defined by an organization, the DIY Dashboard provides an easy-to-use entry module and then instantly produces a series of charts and tables that can be used for monthly or quarterly reports.

Priced at a basic subscription rate of $50 a month, the DIY Dashboard will be targeted to small and medium sized businesses as well as nonprofits and government agencies. However, its flexibility will allow organizations to grow their programs and incorporate on-line content, as well as outsourced manual and computer aided content analysis if required.
